Main Job Responsibilities.
- Supervision, translation, and quality control of video content subtitles (VOD, LIVE, etc.)
- Development of policies for providing and operating translated subtitles for content, live broadcasts, performances, etc.
Work Environment.
- Depending on the content creation cycle, there might be periods of intense work. Working hours may also flexibly change based on content programming schedules, such as evening showcase live events, etc.
Qualifications.
- Open to candidates with any educational background.
- Any major is acceptable, with a preference for majors related to English interpretation/translation.
- Candidates should have more than 3 years of translation experience in the cultural industry, particularly in media and entertainment.
- Individuals with experience using video subtitle creation tools or translation tools are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with experience in translating/reviewing popular culture content or proofreading translations and correcting mistranslations are preferred.
- Excellent translation and writing skills from Korean to the relevant foreign language, demonstrating correct grammar and vocabulary usage, are essential.
- Strong interest in culture, arts, and entertainment is desirable.
- Native-level proficiency in both English and Korean (Speaking & Writing) is required.
- Candidates should have a high level of understanding of the language/cultural environment related to English, including experience living in an English-speaking culture.

Preferred Qualifications.
- Individuals with a strong understanding of the language/cultural environment, gained through residence in the language's culture.
- Those with experience in real-time broadcast translation.
- Individuals with experience translating entertainment/movie content.
- A Master’s degree or higher from a Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation (including a translation major)
Assignments and Tests.
- Pre-submission of a portfolio related to the relevant work is required, and the decision to proceed with the translation test is based on the review results (free form).
- Live translation tests are conducted during practical/leader interviews.
Hiring Process.
- Document screening: Each submitted application and document will undergo a thorough review by the respective working official or person in charge.
- Assignments and tests: Depending on the job's nature, we may administer separate assignments, career descriptions, portfolio submissions, or tests.
- Practical interview: An interview will be conducted with the person in charge to assess the applicant's capabilities, experience, and skills relevant to the job.
- Organizational suitability interview: This interview aims to mutually assess whether the applicant's expectations align with Hive's way of working, involving discussions with relevant team members.
- Leader interview: The leader of the applicant's organization will conduct this interview to confirm the shared vision with the company and overall suitability for the position.
- Treatment consultation/final acceptance: This marks the final stage, where employment is confirmed through discussions on treatment and the joining date for those who have successfully passed the document and interview process.

- All interviews are conducted one-on-one or with several interviewers and take up to two hours.
